Abandoned Cart Retrieval Incentives

With the “Abandoned Carts” option, you can convert potential sales into real sales. By offering attractive incentives, such as discounts or free shipping, customers are encouraged to return to their cart and complete the transaction, thereby increasing conversions and reducing sales loss.

How do we get to this option?

1. We locate the menu on the left side of the application and select the “Automation” tab.
2. We selected the “Online Stores” option.
3. Ready, we are now in the “Abandoned Carts” section 🛒

Channels to recover carts

The first step is to know what the channels are to recover your customers’ abandoned carts:

• Email: the app sends emails to your customers. This feature uses credits, so make sure you have enough.

• Push Notifications: push notifications are sent to the mobile phones of those customers who subscribed to the subscription box.

• WhatsApp: the customer receives a message via WhatsApp with the product image and the link to continue with the purchase. You can set your store’s business hours so that messages are sent within this timeframe. If you want to learn how to set it up, we provide the link.

On the other hand, you can set up incentives to encourage customers to complete their purchase. Here are some tips for choosing them:

Free shipping

Benefits

• Increase attraction: Eliminate a common barrier for customers, as shipping costs can be a decisive factor for abandoning a cart.
• Perception of greater value: Customers feel they are receiving additional value, which can increase satisfaction and loyalty.
• Competitiveness: It makes your offering more competitive compared to other retailers that do not offer free shipping.

Fixed Amount

Benefits

• Clarity and simplicity: Offer a clear and straightforward discount that customers can easily see and understand.
• Strong incentive for lower value purchases: It may be more appealing for customers who make smaller purchases, as the discount has a proportionally greater impact.
• Margin control: It allows you to manage and accurately predict the financial impact of the discount.

Discount coupon

Benefits

• Flexibility and attractiveness: A percentage discount can be very appealing, especially for higher value carts, which encourages larger purchases.
• Encourages repeat purchases: Coupons can incentivize customers to make repeat purchases, especially if the coupon has an expiration date.
• Customization and segmentation: It allows for personalizing offers according to specific customer segments, enhancing the effectiveness of marketing.

Important! The coupon must be generated and activated first in your online store and then the same code should be entered in the NotificationButton app.

Important!

–The app sends the incentives after 4 hours of visiting the page, and in the case that the customer has filled a cart without having paid for it.

–Leave the “Recover Abandoned Carts” button activated

Purchase Status

Enable purchase status notifications. Through this option, emails are sent to your customers to track their purchases.

This is a fundamental feature for your online store, as it allows you to segment and see the journey your customers take.
